Does it frighten you to share your feelings about what is right and what is wrong? If that is how you feel then you need to give us a reason.
A country like India is supposed to be the largest living democracy in the world, where everybody, rich and poor and to the last person walking on the street has the right to think freely, speak freely and do exactly what they want.
Is that what democracy is all about? Does it have rules and regulations that has to be followed? Do we make and break these now and then? Do we do it for our benefit or for the benefit of others? Can a democracy have peace and progress? We have come a long way from our Pre-Independence years when the difficulty lay in what to do with such a large country (not in dimension, surely).
Is everybody free in a democracy? Is there no trace of imperialism? Are we sure?
Let us have it from you. What do you think? How do you feel about this word? What do you understand? How do you see yourself in this idea? Is it an idea or is it fully functional? Do you believe we live in a democracy? Do you think it is important to have a democracy?
If so, why and how?
